add /big/users/ccsoft/lib to your LD_LIBRARY_PATH (which is needed by matplotlib)

set up mail forwarding: Because the SSL of USM is not trusted, you can't fetch emails from Google account setting. The way to avoid that is forwarding emails to google. The option is hidden under: Horde->Preferences -> Filters -> Forward
